A TRIBUTE TO THE TERROIR
A JOURNEY IN THE SECRETS OF VINE HUSBANDRY
The Cogevi’s extensive heritage collection (over 1,500 objects: tools, posters, postcards, photos, etc.) is exhibited in an innovative display. This helps visitors to understand the various trades involved in making champagne, how techniques have changed over the centuries, and all the complex expertise of a corporation of passionate artisans.
Open to the vines, the visit continues outdoors on a marked and illustrated path, explaining the evolution of the vineyard from season to season. This walk leads to the foot of the "essors" (the ventilation shafts of the underground cellars) in front of a breathtakingly beautiful panorama.
To visit the Museum of Champagne Crafts, take part in a guided tour of the cellars and discover all the areas of the Cité du Champagne: the Maison COGEVI, the 18th century underground cellars, the Champagne Collet production site, the Museum of Champagne Trades and a tour of the vineyards.
